Yes, we also really like those nice colored boxes. The blue boxes from Bol.com and Coolblue or the red ones from Mediamarkt, it gives customers a familiar feeling. The marketing value is also high and even in your paper recycling bin you are reminded of your purchase. We want to achieve the same with our boxes, but at Orangeshop.eu we do it in an other way. We try to reuse boxes as much as possible. Yes, it is less beautiful, but it is a sustainable solution for preserving our environment.

Reuse boxes

Did you know that with every ton of reusable corrugated cardboard, we save more than 20,000 liters of water, 2,026 km of truck fuel, more than 3 cubic meters of landfill capacity and 266 kg of air pollution? In short, by reusing boxes we can reduce the burden on the environment enormously.

But what kind of box is a recycled box exactly? This can be an existing box from a supplier, one of packages that we receive ourselves, but also a box from a residual batch or an overproduction. It is a box that is still in good condition and can therefore be reused.

Reuse filling and packaging material

If we cannot use the boxes as a shipping box, it will go through our shredder machine. With this we recycle all our old boxes into in-the-box filling material. And if you happen to find plastic filling in your box, it has also been recycled.
